About

Orange Mound producer, rapper, and DJ who stands as the third pillar of classic Memphis rap production alongside DJ Paul and Juicy J. Where Paul favored horror-film samples and dark atmospherics, Squeeky's sound leaned funkier and more bounce-oriented, rooted in the bass and club music tradition. Founder of Orange Juice Click, his cassette volumes defined the party and cruising side of the Memphis tape scene. He guided DJ Zirk early in that artist's career, establishing Orange Mound as its own production hub within the larger city network.
